Robert Half Technology has a fantastic opportunity for a Database Developer with experience to join a growing, dynamic team in the Motor Freight Forwarder industry. As a Database Developer, you'll be putting your knowledge of database architecture to the test as you design, build, and develop systems. The ideal candidate would be a query writing expert who's passionate about operational development. This full-time position is located in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
What you get to do every single day
- Produce a database schema based on the type of data and application-related function
- Plan out, code, and design relational databases
- Build an efficient data storage method for the database
- Supply documentation and training to the Database Administrator. Also, provide training to other users when requested
Education and/or experience:
• Minimum Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferred
Department specific duties and/or skills (Combined previous Essential and required skills sections removed any redundancy)
• Develop and support data access layer components from project specifications such as stored procedures, views and reports
• Develop DB models for new and existing applications
• Write T-SQL code, supply test data, and debug coding problems
• Troubleshoot operational problems and restore to nominal condition
• Manage multiple commitments and prioritize based on management feedback
• Develop test plans and create migration scripts for technical projects as requested
• Conduct all phases of unit and integration testing
• Assist QA with test plan creation.
• Coordinate and/or contribute to installation efforts
• Evaluate project results and provide feedback to management
• Familiarity with T-SQL DML and DDL
• Familiarity with NoSQL concepts such as MongoDB
• Familiarity with DevOps/CICD
• Familiarity with Azure/Atlas
• Familiarity with ER/Studio, Visio or other modeling tools
• Familiarity with at least one high-level programming language
• Familiarity with API’s and hitting endpoints.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML
• Familiarity working with a data warehouse
• Proficiency using versioning tools such as TFS
• Experience with the latest Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server operating systems
• Experience with data replication using SSIS, helpful
