JOB DUTIES:
Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for the design, implementation and operation of mission critical systems that ensure the performance and availability of the ProtectWise platform. Responsibilities include the management of development and production environments across multiple silos as well the underlying infrastructure and tooling that allows developers to efficiently and reliably deploy to said environments.

-Collaboration, working with other disciplines to accomplish broad goals
What we’re looking for…
-Three or more years of software development or coding experience.
-Three or more years of Linux system administration experience.
-Understanding of the concept of Infrastructure as Code, as well as experience with -Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
-Experience with the Linux kernel
-Experience with Cassandra, Solr, Datastax, the JVM
-Experience with the AWS cloud ecosystem; specifically with these products: EC2, RDS, MSK, Route53, Lambda Functions, S3, EKS, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, SQS/SNS, Step Functions
DESIRED SKILLS:
-Strong programming skills and experience with any of the following languages:
Python, Go, Ruby, Rust, Scala, and Nodejs
-Knowledge of a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
-Knowledge of Spinnaker and the concept of immutable infrastructure.
-Experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS
-Experience creating and maintaining Gitlab CI pipelines
-Experience deploying applications to EC2 instances using Cloud Init
-Working experience with Kafka and AWS MSK
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
LOGISTICS:
Shift: 9am-5pm Mountain Time (Monday- Friday). Can be remote, should be physically located in the United States. This is a contract to hire position: select candidates could be hired as an FTE pending performance after 6 months.
