Their goal is to use state-of-the-art technology and implement what makes sense for them. This position is based at our head office in the Research Triangle, NC where you will join the US ITOps team. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain their existing production workload
- Implement and maintain Lulu's service infrastructure e.g. update Kubernetes cluster, newly deploy or update software in Kubernetes using helm charts
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and practices like service mashes, blue/green deployments, feature flags
- Help improve the developer experience of the platform
- Work in an agile team
- Improve site reliability and uptime
- Identifying problems, taking ownership of them, and implementing solutions
- Be part of a team supporting our head office IT needs
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience in managing infrastructure (server room, datacenter)
- An understanding of relational database structure and queries (SQL)
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience writing Web applications written in Python and JavaScript
- Experience with Gitlab or Github
- Experience with configuration management tools (ansible, salt, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (helm, terraform, or pulumi)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus & grafana)
- 5 or more years professional DevOps engineering experience
- Experience as a software engineer
- Experience with cloud services (Google, AWS, Azure)
- Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Experience with Containers and Kubernetes (Docker)
- Ability to communicate risk assessments back to management and peers
- Experience with Git
- Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment tools (CI/CD)
- Experience with security, load, or performance testing
- Experience with macOS and Linux
