- Advanced, demonstrable, knowledge of: OpenStack (Keystone, Horizon, Nova,Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Glance, Trove) and Docker/Kubernetes industry standard cloud Computing. - Advanced, demonstrable, knowledge of: Linux (RedHat/CentOS or Debian/Ubuntu distributions). -Advanced, demonstrable, knowledge of: Virtualization (VMware, KVM) & Containers (LXC, Docker). -Advanced, demonstrable, knowledge of: Networking (Juniper; 1Gb, 10Gb, SRX Firewalls), Storage (direct attached, SAN/NAS), System Design (server hardware design and configuration). -Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs.
Knowledge of (most/all) of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Perl, Bash, Javascript, SQL. -Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Ability to scale system performance and health monitoring solutions so they can be applied, at scale, without incurring large costs or penalties. Citable experience deploying industry standard health, performance and security monitoring tools. -Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner. Able to be on-call and respond to emails off hours to respond to situational emergencies. -Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Able to prioritize tasks to provide for efficient problem resolution. -Basic knowledge of how to apply technologies and systems to meet business needs. Citable experience working with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals. -Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner. Citable experience using wiki and ticket systems to document, route, resolve and respond to stakeholders through the life cycle of an issue. -General knowledge of other areas of IT.
