The role entails working with developers to optimize the product release process, managing a fleet of servers and applications on AWS, and ensuring high availability.

- Automate application deployment with zero downtime
- Develop internal tools for application and infrastructure monitoring
- Streamline server and application configuration management
- Understand and proactively mitigate security threats
- Implement monitoring for server and application metrics with real-time notifications based on severity levels
- Research and make continuous improvements to the build and release process
- Architect fault-tolerant, scalable, cost-optimized solutions to satisfy complex technical requirements

Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a dedicated DevOps role
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Chef, Ansible
- 2+ years of experience in shell/python scripting and Git-based version control systems like Gitlab or Github
- 1+ years of experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- 1+ years of experience managing and automating large AWS deployments
- Proficiency with Unix-based systems like CentOS and RedHat
- If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. - AWS Solutions Architect/SysOps Certification Preferred
- Experience with deployment and management of microservices
- Understanding of networking concepts like VPN, load-balancing, NATs
- Familiarity with distributed systems
- Exposure on at least one programming/scripting language either Java, C, C++, Python, NodeJS, PHP, etc.
