Description: Our client is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Micro services and web applications (fullstack) in Microsoft Azure cloud
- Write automation applications to support software deliverables
- Proactively research, recommend, and implement automated build and release tools and processes
- Manage the source code repository and policies for access and publishing software build artifact
- Fulfill incoming build and deployment requests by following detailed procedures
- Make updates to documented procedures as directed by other team members
- Support DevOps team members as needed
- Use source control tools such as Git and Team Foundation Server
- Integrate fixes and product enhancements into the code repository
- Solve build script problems and coordinate resolutions
- Work with developers to troubleshoot build problems
- Coordinate with teams to produce documentation and release notes
- Author and maintain build and deployment automation applications for cloud
- Write code, write scripts, run scripts, follow detailed instructions, solve problems, and effectively communicate the results
- Expertise with build automation tools such as TFS Builds, Docker, Kubernetes
- Scripting ability with one or more languages (msbuild, python, Powershell, ruby, bash, perl, etc.)
- Expertise with a variety of build, release, and management packages
- Knowledge of Java, C#, .NET, Windows and Linux Operating Systems is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of SQL Server or relational databases a plus
- Has achieved an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
