Job Description
Position Description
Responsible for managing the technology delivery, finances, testing, and code promotion/quality of a portfolio of strategic IT projects for Enterprise Document Management and Content Services. This individual must be able to review and evaluate the performance of Software Development Managers and Software Developers within a matrix environment. Ultimately accountable for project deliverables, resource allocations, assignments, budgets, and the overall quality of the final product. Works with various technology partners to define and drive strategic requirements and solutions across development, infrastructure, and testing teams. The ideal candidate should be passionate about modern software development practices, delivering highly maintainable software and platforms at enterprise scale. This position will report to a Senior Technology Director and have direct management responsibility for multiple development resources.

Job Responsibilities
- Must have the ability to execute a strategic vision, coupled with the capacity to collaborate with matrixed teams on technology and development approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement in a Lean/Agile environment, implementing DevOps delivery approaches encompassing CI/CD, build automation and deployments.
- Acts as the development team's escalation point to other IT functions, as well as to internal business partners and external vendors as necessary.
- Instills strong focus and best practices for creation and maintenance of high-quality deliverables
- Establish strong, positive relationships with internal business stakeholders and ability to map business processes to technology solutions.
- Effectively communicate technology solutions and recommendations to senior level management and business partners.
- Mentoring/ coaching/ managing individual team members including goal setting and performance evaluations.
- 7+ years of software development experience, as a manager or team lead.
- Experience in attracting and retaining technical talent and managing technical teams.
- Understanding of Java application stacks and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience in full stack development with as many of the following as possible: OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes, Micro Services, Spring/Spring Boot, Angular, Relational Databases, REST, Source Control, Jenkins, VersionOne, JUnit, , SonarQube, Contrast, Splunk, Messaging Platforms, NoSQL Databases, Redis, Spring Batch/Integration, ELK Stack, Cloud Service Engineering
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices, ideally with hands-on experience transforming teams from Waterfall or Iterative to Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, from team members to senior management.
- Enthusiasm and a desire to be part of an innovative and highly valued team.
- A strong drive to solve problems of all types.
