Has anyone else had trouble getting their kids to relax at the dentist?

My daughter gets super nervous before every checkup, and it always feels like a battle just to get her in the chair. I started looking into Pearland Pediatric Dentistry since I figured a dentist who focuses on kids might make things easier. I saw that Myaquadental offers pediatric services, so we gave it a try last week.

Honestly, the difference was noticeable. The staff talked to her in a way she could understand, let her see the tools before using them, and even gave her some choices so she felt more in control. By the end, she was actually smiling (which never happens at dentist visits). It wasn't perfect, but it felt like progress.

For other parents around Pearland, do you think it's better to stick with a pediatric-specific dentist, or do kids eventually get used to a regular family dentist? I'd love to hear what's worked for your little ones.
