Job Overview
The IT Development Engineer II is responsible for the development, configuration, and testing of applications and processes as per the technical requirements and specifications for the application and identifying opportunities for improvement and, or automation of existing processes. This position will also troubleshoot and resolve testing issues; focus on programming and configuration of IT Systems Software including software for use in operating, controlling hardware, and providing a platform for running internal end-user, business applications. The IT Development Engineer II will be joining an Agile team that supports our Customer and Commercial business vertical, with primary responsibility for supporting and building out a sales tool with mobile, web and backend components.

Job Overview

Duties & Responsibilities
- Writes code in lower-level (i.e. C#, .Net, Angular, SQL) programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization’s IT platform, infrastructure.
- Configures customizes, diagnoses, and enhances SAAS, Off the Shelf, In-House Developed or 3rd Party supplied systems software including operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation
- Writes diagnostic programs to test integrated software, hardware systems and resolve system faults to indicate that the program is not functioning properly or meeting the technical, functional requirements.
- Participates and actively contributes to the teams Agile Scrum events, as well as Backlog Grooming, including Sprint – a time box of 1-4 weeks during which a useable and potentially releasable increment of work is completed Sprint
- Creates technical documentation of systems software programs and code to be leveraged for audit purposes and documents why the program was built.
- Provides on-going support, maintenance activities and other duties as determined by the team.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- 3-5 Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed organizational Structure
- 3-5 Years of SDLC and CI,CD experience - Tools, Frameworks and best practices
- 1-3 Years MS Azure Environment Development experience
- 1-2 Years MS Azure DevOps operational (pipeline) experience
- 3-5 Years experience in Domain specific framework development
- 3-5 Years of Data integrations and exchange frameworks (jSON, XML, EDI)
- Strong Analytical and self problem solving abilities
- Strong understanding of data
- Language experience includes: C#, .Net, Angular, Typescript, SQL, nUnit
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED;2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience
- Prior Software Development experience is mandatory
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Certifications in the Microsoft stack (.NET, Azure, etc.) are a plus
