In the IT regulatory space at H&R Block, we build and maintain tax software products for our tax professionals and for do-it-yourself taxpayers, with the goal of making it as easy as possible for people to file accurate tax returns with confidence. Our tax software products, which are the backbone of H&R Block, are undergoing extensive transformation and modernization to ensure that we continue to exceed the expectations of our customers for decades to come.
H&R Block is investing heavily in our technology transformation, with an eye to improving, and even reconceiving, how we approach design, development, testing, and delivery. The goal? Faster innovation.

We have an exciting opportunity on our do-it-yourself product, which is used by two million customers, for someone who will be responsible for managing the regulatory development and QA teams. These regulatory teams are responsible for such items as tax calculations, interview screens, and interview logic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver do-it-yourself tax software product on time, on budget, and with superior quality.
- Prioritize work items to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with teams working on other components of software product.
- Act as project manager to facilitate multi-team projects.
- Ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
- Work in partnership with business leaders to obtain and commit necessary resources at the appropriate time, level, and expertise to support the product.
- Coordinate activities with, and report regularly to, senior leadership/sponsorship teams.
- Monitor and mitigate risks.
- Lead teams through Agile best practices with a lens on DevOps operating models to drive efficient technology delivery in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll bring to the team...
- 7 years of management experience, including some project management experience.
- Demonstrated track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience developing and managing budgets.
- Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with and persuade a wide range of audiences.
- Superior supervisory and matrix management skills and ability to oversee tasks delegated to others.
- Ability to operate calmly in the face of rigid deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
- Experience with DevOps
