RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior SW Engineer in Smithfield, RI. Summary: We're looking for software engineers that thrive in a team-based environment and have a real passion for delivering impactful business solutions through an iterative software development methodology. Responsibilities of the Senior SW Engineer:

• As a Senior SW Engineer on this Intermediary Sales Technology team, you will help us build solutions that focus on our Sales team's needs and optimize quality and deployment practices
• The Senior SW Engineer will help with the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment; as a member of an agile, multi-functional team
• The Engineer will mentor Junior Developers, ensure standard methodologies are being followed and empower and support the growth and development of your peers
• The Senior Engineer will have the opportunity to share technical knowledge to help strengthen our software engineering community and further pursue your own learning of new technologies and platforms

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree Computer Science or other related discipline
• Strong development skills and 7+ years of software development experience, including Java and Spring technologies
• Experienced with SQL/Database
• Expertise with SOAP and RESTful Web Services
• Practical experience with the following technologies and tools: . Java, Spring (MVC, Boot, Cloud Config), Cloud (AWS), Jenkins, JIRA, Udeploy and Git
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Awareness of the strengths/limitations of current and developing technologies
• DevOps and cloud computing skills desirable
