A day in the life.
As our Lead Application Developer on the Information Technology team, you’ll head a team of developers in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. These applications are vital to the success of the organization and add value to our client’s experience. As a Lead Developer you will mentor and teach other developers and promote MMA technology standards, process, and procedures of the software development life cycle. This individual will apply logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to design and create best in class applications. The Lead Developer is a self-motivated leader who is the technical lead who can handle complex projects that lead to high quality products, with clear direction and servant leader mentality to the development team.
This individual will work with business analyst, lead development architect, and project managers to develop project user stories, backlog, and sprints. You will present strong analytical skills to be able to manage complex problems using several techniques. This position will provide support on complex, urgent, and technically challenging issues not resolved when needed. The Lead Developer will consider and recommend future enhancements to applications. You will monitor the trends and results from technical support calls to advise senior team members on performance of existing systems.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Design, code, test and debugs new and existing applications using current coding standards and best practices
- Develop reusable code to decrease time to market, create uniformity of code, increase scalability, and build more agile applications
- Create and develop applications with a security first mindset
- Experience building distributed systems at scale based on microservices architecture.
- Extensive experience with REST API design and implementation.
- Experience in leveraging continuous integration and robust build/test automation, with a preference for cross platform stacks and containerization (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- 10+ years of experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering highly scalable digital products.
- 2+ years of leading a development team.
- Knowledge in API Management systems like Apigee and Informatica.
- Knowledge with container technologies - Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience in complex software product delivery in an Agile environment.
- Exposure to public cloud technology stack in Azure and AWS.
- Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
