Description of Role/Responsibilities:
Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a Lead SRE for long term contract opportunity with one of our large clients in the Technology Industry. We're seeking candidates with at least 1 project that includes a full migration of client facing applications from on prem to a Public Cloud in a production environment, ideally Azure. We're seeking a minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience , ideally having experience with both Linux and Windows OS. Candidates should be well versed with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and will ideally be certified Azure or AWS. In this role, you will be assisting in leading the technical direction for a newly formed Cloud Center of Excellence and establishing the blue prints for teams of SRE's to build infrastructures code, software services (PaaS and SaaS) including security policies, in order to migrate all of our client's applications running in their primary On Prem DC location to Microsoft Azure. Prior experience with at least 1 full lifecycle of migrating highly visible, high revenue generating applications and product lines to the cloud is required. We're also ideally seeking candidates with a Cloud Security Certification as well. Candidates who have prior team lead experience will be given preference, but those who have the ability to and desire to train more jr SRE's will also be considered.
