Medline continues to grow, and grow, and grow. In fact, we have experience DOUBLE DIGIT growth for 53 of the past 54 years. And that growth has enabled us to add a .NET Low-Code Developer to our Information Services team at our Northfield, IL headquarters. (We are currently working remote due to Covid-19, but this position will be based in Northfield once we return to the office)
This position will responsible for supporting and implementing solutions to business challenges in their product technical areas. This developer must be self-motivated with the ability to achieve deadlines while working effectively within a team environment.
This person will be responsible for developing .NET-based applications aimed at automation, sustainability and cost avoidance. This individual will also create and maintain detailed business requirements, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for our business. To be successful in the role, you need to be strong in .NET (Outsystems/Appian) as well as possess the ability to communicate and manage stakeholders%26rsquo; expectations effectively.

You will work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with multiple business and technical teams. The challenging responsibilities of the position include:
The Low-Code Developer is responsible for understanding product requirements, developing the architecture and specifications for systems to support them. The developer will work as a part of a Low-Code team and provide technical solutions for medium-to-large application building projects. The developer also works with managers and peers to improve technical processes. This individual should be able to work with both custom and package software.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and develop business functionality in multi-tier web solutions while improving code quality and infrastructure.
  • Build scalable, unit testable solutions for our website applications and do code reviews.
  • Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations and support).
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all associates and business contacts and promote a strong sense of teamwork.
  • See big picture for interconnected systems, building resiliency, and when your solutions move to production how they will be operationalized/monitored.
  • Optimize web application speed / performance
  • Collaborate with internal customers to determine the most efficient, cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements.
  • 5+ years of Low Code (.NET-based) web development
  • 5+ years designing and developing REST APIs
  • 5+ years with relational databases
  • 3+ years leading development team(s) and working under Agile scrum framework
  • 3+ years experience with Outsystems and/or Appian for Low-Code
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, HTML, and/or Javascript
  • Experienced with JIRA and BitBucket/Git for source control
  • Practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in a web environment
  • Cloud first architectures (AWS, Azure, Cloudera, etc.) a plus
  • Log aggregators (SumoLogic, Splunk) a plus
  • Experience with SAP, HANA, and/or Vistex a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • Database experience - SQLServer, NoSQL experience a plus
  • Plan and lead multiple projects independently via good project management practices and artifacts/documentation
  • Prototype solutions and new tools/technologies; conduit with Architecture and DevOps for arch design and operations
  • Strong analytical skills to debug complex problems and curiosity/passion for technology
  • Great understanding of Web Performance measuring and how to optimize (APM)
  • Great collaborator and communicator with teammates and business partners
  • Good written and verbal language skills (English)
