The Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) organization embodies the hub of lifecycle engineering at TJX, delivering, maintaining, and optimizing our technology portfolio at the cloud scale. We are a service-output team that strives to provide outstanding experiences to thousands of TJX associates, business partners, and application delivery teams across the portfolio.
The Mainframe Performance/DevOps Engineer plays a key role in the I&O organization to develop, implement, well-defined solutions for Mainframe Infrastructure and Technology Services that are aligned to TJX’s strategy. This position will be focused on DevOps for the Mainframe. You will partner with various Application and Development teams globally across the organization to enhance delivery of the Development process.

- Define technical scope and objectives for Mainframe Infrastructure services management for non-production requirements.
- Set guidance and strategy of DevOps for Mainframe to enhance team’s ability to deliver faster, more efficiently across the Development Life Cycle.
- Facilitate review of mainframe resources to ensure efficient and effective usage.
- Ensure that all DevOps Mainframe integrates across distributed platforms and technology, in conformity with TJX IT standards.
What you’ll need

- Minimum of 5 years of Mainframe Development software design, testing and implementation experience;
- Proficiency with DevOps technologies such as ZD&T, Topaz, ChangeMan Client Pack;
- Solid understanding of and technical experience with Release and Deployment technology from MicroFocus; Performance and Tuning using BMC MainView product suite;
- Experience with service delivery and ITIL practices for change, incident and problem management;
- Understanding of Strobe and iStrobe application performance;
- Proficiency in Performance and Capacity to ensure efficient and effective use of computer resources;
- Experience with automation and scripting;
- Understanding of DevOps technologies such as GitHub and distributed technologies;
- Familiarity with application testing practices and environmental structure;
- Ability to generate and produce resource-based metric and reporting;
- Performance capabilities and mindset to optimize resource consumption and efficiencies.
