Description: Our client is currently seeking a Optimization Engineer. This is a fully remote long term contract opportunity with benefits! The ideal candidate will have an extensive background working with Quantitative development.
Skills Needed
- 4+ years of experience in Mathematical Modeling & Programming - Linear, Integer, Mixed Integer
- 2+ years of experience in Operations Research or Industrial Engineering
- Bachelors and/or Masters in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- Experience working with business organizations and translate their requirements into mathematical formulation
- Hands on experience solving large-scale optimization models (millions of variables) using exact & heuristic
- Hands on experience using Gurobi for commercial solvers; can also have experience with CPLEX, Xpress, MATLAB, GAMS, COIN-OR
- Strong programming experience using Python - can also have R, Java, C++, C#, or JavaScript
- Data wrangling experience using Python data structures, ETL, SQL, Oracle, or PySpark
- Understanding of CI/CD build out of the model - Azure DevOps preferred
