DataCORE is a clinical point-of-care application for evaluating and addressing patient risk and quality gaps to improve value-based care. We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join a growing team of systems analysts, software engineers, and quality engineers. The DataCORE technology stack is primarily comprised of web UI (i.e., Angular), Java services and job pipelines, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, and MySQL. A successful candidate will have a quality-first, automation driven approach to quality processes, will be well-versed in functional and non-functional testing, have the skills to build and automate quality verification, adapt quickly to change, be able to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders alike, and be able to champion efficient agile processes, delivery, and DevOps while mentoring others to do the same.

A successful candidate will have a quality-first, automation driven approach to quality processes, will be well-versed in functional and non-functional testing, have the skills to build and automate quality verification, adapt quickly to change, be able to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders alike, and be able to champion efficient agile processes, delivery, and DevOps while mentoring others to do the same.
Required Experience
- 5+ years in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python, etc.); Java strongly preferred
- 5+ years unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., JUnit, Spock, Jasmine, Selenium,Testcontainers, etc.) as part of software testing automation
- 3+ years of experience in non-functional requirements testing automation using tools such as Gatling, JMeter, etc.
- 3+ years automating quality in teams with modern agile delivery processes (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
- 2+ years working with, and contributing to, the design of complex technical architectures in resilient and high-scalability environments
- 2+ years in Git source control
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related technical discipline
- Facilitate testing (manual and automated) and delivery in a cross-functional team of software engineers, quality engineers, and systems analysts in delivery of a commercial software platform
- Coordinate effective agile delivery processes and contribute to operational enhancements
- Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of issues
- Promote a mindset and culture within the team that embraces identifying, owning, and solving issues, driving quality, improving performance, and improving the customer experience
- Estimate testing delivery effort, as well as effectively identify and prioritize high-value deliverables
- Assist in user story definition by leading test plan creation and assisting in definition of done, ensuring clarity of requirements and expectations before delivery
- Provide or assist other quality team members in providing feature level demos to business stakeholders
- Facilitate user story or defect acceptance via live or documented demos (e.g., gifs, videos, narrative documents, screenshots, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with peers to drive efficient team delivery
- Mentor quality engineers regarding code quality and best practices (e.g., testing best practices, testing pyramid, design patterns, code smells, etc.)
