We are currently seeking a talented Sr. SQL Developer/SSRS Report Writer to join our Information Technology organization. This person will join a team that supports many critical business systems, including SQL Server, SQL Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services, BizTalk, and ERP platforms.
This is a Contract to Hire position, W2, remote!
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years SQL Server 2014 to 2017 development experience
• Advanced SSRS reporting development experience: company is starting a new ERP project and a majority of the existing reports will need to be re-written to work with the new ERP system
• 5+ years T-SQL development experience, advanced experience in writing stored procedures
• Experience working with source control systems - TFS, Azure DevOps a plus.
• Possess excellent communication skills, the drive to succeed and work independently and on a team, with the ability to multi task, and deliver quality results.
• C# coding experience is a plus
• ERP - PDI Enterprise (Professional Data Solutions) Experience is a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Develop SSIS packages to support business requirements and data access/manipulation.
o Develop new reports from multiple data sources using SSRS.
o Participate in peer code reviews and QA testing
o Maintain data integrity when manipulating data files for the purpose of analysis. Validate data thoroughly by using multiple data sources or criteria when necessary to ensure accuracy of results
o Create mock-ups of planned development work and get buy-in from appropriate SMEs or product owners prior to execution.
o Follow best practices and established standards when developing new applications, processes, etc.
o Manage, monitor and validate regular data downloads from the company's and partners business systems.
o Ensure that all jobs are running successfully and take appropriate actions when issues are found.
o Independently identify and solve data problems, informing all parties concerned.
o Troubleshoot SSIS package failures and fix as necessary
o Work with 3rd party vendors and engineers as necessary
