POSITION
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Senior Full Stack Developer (Application Developer IV) supports project delivery teams within the fast-paced Application Development team. Here at Cottonwood Financial, we operate very quickly and time to market is imperative. This newly created, hands-on leadership position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing critical business applications and providing specialized technical and quick-hit solutions for strategic long-term as well as tactical near-term projects. In this role, this candidate will deliver products using agile delivery techniques to ensure the highest priorities are delivered first while maintaining an exceptional level of quality. The Senior Full Stack Developer (aka Software Developer IV) will be solving complex business problems with some of the latest technologies and working to implement transformational projects that deliver results to the bottom line. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop or modify complex software that is optimized for performance
- Maintain and supports existing software applications by identifying and resolves complex app issues and bugs
- Interact with business areas and business analysts to clarify requirement-related issues, as needed
- Test new installations and software before release to eliminate failures and impact
- Formulate and define application scope and objectives; formulate solutions to solve business challenges
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and providing leadership and guidance to other software engineers
- Utilize system functionality and develop solutions to create an optimal customer experience
- Coordinate software architecture and delivery along with issue and defect resolution
- Evangelize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and drive from real experience with SDLC practices and procedures using Agile methodology
- Document processes and technical requirements for management and team review
- Periodic on-call support on a rotating schedule
- After business hours production deployment and post-deployment support
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/other experience
- At least 7 years’ experience in Software Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React, Gatsby, or TypeScript
- At least 3 years’ experience with .Net, DevOps, Windows, Web Technologies, SQL, and Scriptwriting
- Experience building out CDN and CDI Azure pipelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
- Strong consulting and collaboration skills
- Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only - no relocation
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future
- Master’s Degree
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Agile development methodology
- Experience in a Financial Services organization
- Annual salary of up to $126,200
