- Data Storage Technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, cloud-based data solutions such as GCP BigQuery, and different storage formats (e.g. Parquet, etc.);
- Data Processing Tools: Python (Numpy, Pandas, etc.), Spark, cloud-based solutions such as AWS Glue or Databricks;
- Machine Learning Libraries: Python (scikit-learn, genism, etc.), TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Spark MLlib;
- Hardware: sensors, robotics, Raspberry Pis, GPU enabled machine learning, FPGAs, etc; and,
- DevOps including Linux and Windows command line control, scripting, source code control (such as GitHub), and containers (including Docker, Kubernetes).
- Working under the guidance of lead engineering staff to implement and test data-centric software solutions in a cloud environment;
- Designing event-driven architectures that appropriately leverage streaming and batch processing;
- Assisting with the design and development of software applications;
- Working with architects and product owners to decompose work into smaller software components;
- Assisting with estimation and planning of of software delivery;
- Helping architects research and prove out design concepts;
- Coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process;
- Following industry leading practices for code commit and code delivery;
- Creating end-to-end technology prototypes and/or machine learning models for a given business use case or application;
- Demonstrating success in rapid prototyping, using agile approaches to quickly test new ideas and “fail fast”; and,
- Applying a business framing to emerging technology solutions and communicate to business audiences in written and verbal formats.
