The Lead/Senior DevOps Engineer primary responsibility is to streamline the software development and deployment processes. The Engineer will create and maintain a software build architecture, including the source control system, build system, deployment tools and frameworks. The main objective is to build and operate a highly automated and resilient framework of continuous build and deployment pipelines that seamlessly integrates updates of the software.
We are looking for someone who is an out-of-the-box thinker and can implement solutions that blends standardization and automation for a suite of products that will have global application. It is important that candidates have a strong background in a variety of release management technologies and are experienced in building enterprise-class engineering processes.
Responsibilities
· Automate build and release pipeline from development to production for our Java based micro services architecture.
· Facilitate and champion resolution of problems found during the daily build and deployment.
· Work closely with all of Engineering to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet our feature requirements.
· Evolve CI/CD process to for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Core Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
· Solid command of one or more of the following: Groovy, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or shell scripting.
· Fluent with and in-depth understanding of all things Git, Jenkins and Maven.
· Experience with Atlassian and integrating the build pipeline with Jira, Bitbucket, etc...
· Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
· Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes and Docker.

Preferred qualifications:
· Expertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting complex build pipelines.
· Ability to debug and optimize and automate CI/CD tasks.
· Ability to apply systematic approach to solve problems with a sense of ownership and focus.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical details to different audiences.
· Four years plus of demonstrated experience working for a company in a similar role.
