Robert Half Technology is seeking a Software Architect for building C# applications, including anything from back-end services to client-end counterparts. This may include both desktop (WPF/CEF/WinForms) and web applications. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Translate application user stories, specifications, use cases and other requirement analysis documentation into functional applications.
- Provide support for production systems and applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications with a focus on clean and readable code.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Help maintain code quality and provide guidance on strategies to improve automations and organization within the team.
Technical Skills:
- Expert working with Microsoft Technologies such as C# and ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API 2, Azure with other front end technology like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue, Razor View Engine, TypeScript, and jQuery
- Expert in enterprise class SQL server database design and architectures including HA
- Expert in HA application design in a virtualized environment
- Expert in writing/tuning high performance T-SQL
- Expert in writing reusable C# libraries
- Expert in C#
- Expert understanding of object-oriented programming
- Expert understanding of the .NET framework versions 2.0 – 4.x
- Expert understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Expert with RESTFUL web services, WCF, and SOAP
- Expert in working with data in JSON and XML
- Expert in writing APIs
- Expert in dependency injection
- Experience with Microsoft Azure including App Service and cloud SQL
- Experience with DevOps
- Strong understanding of concurrency patterns in C#
- Experience with NSIS install packages
- Experience with microservice design and architectures
- Experience in eCommerce
- Experience managing large scale enterprise class applications including at a minimum of 20 servers in a virtualized environment
- Able to provide overall guidance for various disparate applications across the company including strategies to provide better code reuse
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework
- Knack for writing clean, readable C# code
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Familiarity with Win32 APIs
- Experience writing Windows forms applications
- Experience with chromium embedded framework
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Information Technology
