Robert Half Technology are working alongside a manufacturing and services organization out in Elgin and we're looking for a Software Developer (.NET) to join a core development team of 4 consisting of Software Developers and DevOps Engineers. This role is to be based onsite in their Elgin office and will be onsite. The successful candidate will work on new, greenfield projects including building custom applications for their tracking system amongst many more. You will also be part of a migration moving the .NET framework into .NET Core as the organization look to keep current with the market trends.

This role is to be based onsite in their Elgin office and will be onsite. The successful candidate will work on new, greenfield projects including building custom applications for their tracking system amongst many more. Responsibilities:
- Work in a small team with one other Developer and help develop and maintain custom built applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC and WebAPI
- Be a part of the code review process and provide technical support when needed to help out the support team.
- Generate DDL scripts in order to create/update database objects needed to facilitate new applications
- As well as develop the applications, you’re required to perform system testing, prepare documentation and coordinate migrations where necessary
- Follow the design and development standards and best practices of the business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
- 1-3 years experience working as a Software Developer within the Microsoft Stack and working with technologies including, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, MVC and WebAPI
- Strong communication skills and be able to help maintain and support applications
