My premier client is looking for a Software Engineer to focus on securing open source software. You will focus on assessing the security of open source software and developing security patches to improve the security posture of the code. Experience working within the open source community, preferably in a security capacity and be familiar with developing open source software.


Responsibilities Include:

• Security research within open source software
• Building security tooling and security patches
• Working closely with the open source community
• Working closely with SDLC build teams
• Developing and securing infrastructure for secure components of the build chain

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong experience with writing and securing open source software
• Development experience and Application security expertise in Python, Java or Go
• Knowledge of security best practices in relationship to securely building software
• Understanding of build systems, SDLC's
• DevOps or DevSecOps experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
