RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a top firm located in Jersey City, NJ and is in search for a Remote Sr. DevOps Engineer. the Sr. DevOps Engineer will participate in strategizing, instrumenting/developing end-to-end automation that includes CI/CD pipelines & cloud infrastructure setup to automate every facet of the Software Development Life Cycle. You must be a go-getter with a desire to learn and excel in new and exciting cloud technologies with a passion for automation and an eye towards Information Security coupled with AWS Cloud Cost Optimization techniques. You will report to the Sr. Director of Infrastructure & Operations Position Responsibilities of the Sr. DevOps Engineer:

• Participate in developing roadmaps to enhance and migrate applications to the Cloud and provide enhanced Stability, Resiliency, and Scalability in addition to modernizing the technology stack
• Participate in developing CI/CD pipelines with Containerization to support automated deployments into multiple application environments including Dev, QA, UAT & Production
• Work with the DevOps Team to develop scalable cloud infrastructure following the best security practices with an emphasis towards Infrastructure as code using Terraform/CloudFormation
• Work with the DevOps Engineers across the firm to solve complex technology problems
• Be a part of 24/7 On-call support for all systems with a focus on critical/crown jewel systems
• Participate in the development of Custom Deployment solutions implementing Chatbots methodology to automate routine functionalities
• Triage, Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure & application related issues
• Identify process improvisation opportunities across the company and communicate effectively to drive the initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related preferred; Associate or professional level certification(s) on Dev-Ops/Sys-Ops or Solution Architecture, AWS Certification required
• Associate or Professional level certifications on Dev-Ops/Sys-Ops or Solution Architecture (At least one certification preferred)
• 5+ Years in a DevOps Engineer role with experience including but not limited to running applications on LAMP, MEAN & Java stacks, Linux Eco systems on AWS
• Must be a team player with a desire to excel in DevOps tools and practices to improve the productivity of the Development Teams across the organization
• Proficient in all of the following AWS Services : IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, VPC & Networking, SNS/SQS, Lambda, Route 53, API Gateway, Elasti-cache, Cognito, Redshift
• Proficient in CI tools including Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, AWS CodePipeline
• Proficient and adept in running Docker in production with Container Orchestration including Amazon ECS, Kubernetes & Docker Swarm
• Experience with monitoring/alerting tools such as NewRelic, CloudWatch, DataDog, PagerDuty, AppDynamics
• Experience with Logging tools such as SumoLogic/Splunk/ELK Stack
• Development experience with Node.Js, PHP, Java, BASH & Python is preferred
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CloudFormation
• Experience setting up and basic administering of MYSQL, Postgres & NoSQL Databases
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab with industry standard Git Flow processes
• Expertise in Linux Administration of different flavors including Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
