This is a role within Nasdaq’s Analytics business. The DevOps team is an automation and system administrators group and we are looking for an amazing DevOps Technical Lead to run and drive the DevOps lifecycle at Solovis which includes system administration of cloud resources, automation, ops, and site reliability.

What You Will Do:
- Own and lead Solovis’ Azure instance which includes running the team(s) that handle core cloud architecture, site reliability, disaster recovery, cost analysis, minimizing cloud costs, product deployments, cloud incidents & outages, Azure automation, Azure operations & monitoring, and Azure system administration.
- Lead, grow, and empower employees through vision, strategy, mentorship, documentation, automation, and communication.
- Work with the Microsoft Technology Account Manager (“TAM”) to stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, designs, and practices.
- Manage projects and communications for your team(s) including priorities, deliverables, one-on-ones, standups, retrospectives, and working with key partners across the organization including executives.
- Reviewing, improving, and approving Requests for Change.
- Lead teams during operation incidents to resolve issues and outages.
- Design, implement, and work closely with various development teams to ensure they are following the Software Development Lifecycle especially around DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Champion operational and engineering excellence by improving metrics and key performance indicators, incident response, organizational change, and secure implementation practices.
Solovis primarily works within the Microsoft and Microsoft Azure ecosystem using technologies such as .NET Core, TypeScript, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Containers, SQL Server, Snowflake, Pager Duty, and more.
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven understanding of Agile, Kanban, and Scrum.
- Experience with managing a team with diverse roles and strengths.
- Programming in C#, .NET, PowerShell, Bash, and SQL.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Build.
- Strong expertise in developing processes, procedures, and solutions.
- Planning and cost analyses.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- 5+ years of Development and DevOps related work including designing and maintaining build and release pipelines, working in a cloud environment, working within the Microsoft ecosystem, and site reliability for production applications.
- Experience working in an enterprise environment that requires change management, incident response, secure coding practices, diaster recovery, and meeting InfoSec requirements including applying Secure Technology Implementation Guides (“STIGs”).
- Experience executing incident response on operational incidents.
- Familiarity with security, networking, databases, micro services, cloud resources, and shipping products.
- Experience with different operating systems including recent version Windows, Windows Servers, and Linux variants.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience as an incident commander.
- Investment and financial domain knowledge.
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (“ITIL”) v4.
